Arriving by air

  1. With an aircraft whose Maximum Take-Off Weight (MTOW) is less than 5.7 tonnes :

- the pilot must have a mountain qualification (unique to France)

or

- the pilot must have been on a reconnaissance flight to La Mole with a DGAC-approved instructor.

  1. With an aircraft whose Maximum Take-Off Weight (MTOW) is more than 5.7 Tonnes :

- file to be sent to the civil aviation authority.

  1. With an aircraft whose Maximum Take-Off Weight (MTOW) is more than 15 tonnes:

- file to be sent to the civil aviation authority.

- additional safety measures will be applied on departure.

Special case for VLJ (EA50, E50P, C510): read the « INFORMATIVE NOTE FOR OPERATORS OF MTOW AIRCRAFT WEIGHING LESS THAN 5.7 TONNES » on use in public transport.

Pilots must always prepare their flight and hold up-to-date IAC and VAC cards: always check aeronautical information from the NOTAM and SUP/AIP.

Preliminary flight notice is compulsory regardless of the origin.
