Apr\u00e8s leur d\u00e9part, un village fut construit sur le coteau de Sainte Madeleine (ou Magdeleine). Une gravure de 1008 mentionne \u00ab\u00a0Ad molam \u00ab\u00a0, d\u00e9riv\u00e9 de la fabrication de jalons \u00e0 la main (mola manuaria). Il est \u00e9galement question de \u00a0\u00bb Castrum de mola \u00a0\u00bb et de \u00a0\u00bb Mola \u00a0\u00bb en 1079. Au XVIIe si\u00e8cle, la seigneurie appartient \u00e0 la famille Suffren. En 1728, on compte sept chefs de famille \u00e0 La Mole.
