This certification guarantees airport users that ground handling services meet the highest safety standards. It is part of an ongoing process to improve service quality at Aéroports de la Côte d’Azur.
Following a rigorous audit, theAéroport du Golfe de Saint-Tropez was awarded the IS-BAH label, level 1, with the congratulations of the jury. It crowns two years’ work involving all the airport’s teams and rewards a unique platform, as it already manages all the Safety Management Systems (airport fire service, control tower, etc.). The Var airport now has two years to achieve level 2.
“Our customers have been asking for this certification, which is a guarantee of service quality and operational safety. The fact that its standards have been drawn up by ground handling professionals and are updated every year makes it a guarantee of our operational excellence,” says Joseph Azzaz, Director of Aéroport du Golfe de Saint-Tropez.
IS-BAH certification validates two fundamental elements. First and foremost, the implementation and promotion of a culture of business risks, shared by all teams. This was followed by a rewriting of all processes, accompanied by training for all teams in safety issues and the notion of a just culture. The latter has led to the widespread use of notifications.
“Beyond the certification itself, the process of obtaining it has helped to establish a climate of trust and responsibility, as well as providing our teams with a better understanding and mastery of their professions, which is a clear benefit to day-to-day operations at stopovers,” adds Joseph Azzaz.
